Our Infant program offers care for infants from newborn -12 months old. The infants are cared for with love and compassion as we provide tummy time, singing songs, and developmetnal learning.

Toddler Program

Our Montessori school isn't just a daycare center. We provide

a well-rounded education for your child with a pre-set, structured curriculum, and working with them on coordination of small and large motor skills.

Preschool/Kinder-Readiness

Our preschool teaches the lessons that set our students up for long-term academic success, building skills and self-esteem. Our curriculum covers a little bit of everything, from math and literacy to science and history.

After School Program

If you are looking for great options for after-school care, look no further. We offer a wide range of options for elementary school-aged children, including a summer camp with in house field trips and water activities to keep them entertained.

SPANISH CURRICULUM

We incorporate seasonal Spanish vocabulary into our curriculum to enrich language exposure in a natural, engaging way!

Afterschool Care

Sunshine Montessori provides after-school pick-up services along with NISD transportation drop-off options. Our after-school program includes a snack, homework assistance, and dedicated time for children to unwind in a relaxed setting.

International Dance

Sunshine is partnering with International Dance.

Children will work on their large motor skills, rhythm and instruments while in class. There is a monthly fee that parents will be responsible for.

Summer Camp

Sunshine will be offering summer camp for ages 6 to 13 years old. We will be planning field trips to different areas around San Antonio. Tuition includes breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack.

Sunshine Montessori Academy is a locally-owned child care center proudly serving San Antonio from 2 great locations. We take a whole-child approach with each of our students, aiming to meet the intellectual, social, behavioral, and emotional needs of each of our students as individuals. We follow a curriculum which incorporates social, science, sensory and practical life activities.

Using the Montessori method, we provide a stimulating environment that engages your child’s natural curiosity to teach valuable academic skills and encourage critical thinking. We partner alongside Soccer Shots, Yoga, and Dance class that are offered in the weekly tuition to give your child an opportunity to join in on extra curricular activities, which will help your child learn and grow in every dimension! We are proud to announce that both our Sunshine locations are Texas Rising Star Certified!

Thanks to the hard work of our Management and Staff, as well as the guidance from our TRS Mentors, we were able to achieve accreditation to provide better care for both our children and their families. In order for our centers to become accredited, we were evaluated in the following categories;

Upcoming Events:

We are excited that fall is here! This season our children at SMA will be visiting our local pumpkin patches, trick or treating at our local nursing homes, and learning about seasons and how they change.

Food Program:

In accordance to Advance Inc, we offer healthy meals which include whole grains, fruits, vegetables and milk. Our infant program will offer infant formula, fruits, vegetables and cereal. All classes will enjoy breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.

Get Involved:

Home and school connection is very important to us here at Sunshine and we have incorporated a variety of fun activities throughout the year for families to enjoy. A few of our fun filled events include; Crafting With Grandparents, Pie with Parents, Christmas Caroling at Nursing Homes, and Kinder Readiness Graduation.

Childcare Subsidy & Discount

All of our locations are accepting the City of San Antonio childcare subsidy program CCS , VA childcare subsidy program, Alamo Colleges Ready to Work Program, and United Way Scholarship Program. We also offer a discount for our Military families, USAA employees, as well as a siblings discount.

Facility Cleanliness

At Sunshine Montessori, we partner with Dis-In-Fx to help ensure your child's environment is not only clean, but healthy as well. In our everyday cleaning and sanitizing procedures, we follow TX childcare minimum standards 4 step cleaning process , which includes using a hospital grade sanitizer supplied to us by Dis-In-Fx. Additionally once a month a sanitation solution is sprayed throughout the facility, which is guaranteed to kill germs for up to 90 days.
