Afterschool Care
Sunshine Medical Center offers afterschool pick-up program, and NISD Transporation drop-off. In our afterschool program, we offer children snack, and help with homework, and relaxing time for children.

International Dance
Sunshine is partnering with International Dance. 
Children will work on their large motor skills, rhythm and instruments while in class. There is a monthly fee that parents will be responsible for.

Summer Camp
SMA will be offering summer camp for ages 6 to 13 years old. We will be planning field trips to different areas around San Antonio. Tuition includes breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack.

A Unique Approach To Education!

Sunshine Montessori Academy is a locally-owned child care center proudly serving San Antonio from 2 great locations. We take a whole-child approach with each of our students, aiming to meet the intellectual, social, behavioral, and emotional needs of each of our students as individuals. We follow a curriculum which incorporates  social, science, sensory and practical life activities.

Using the Montessori method, we provide a stimulating environment that engages your child’s natural curiosity to teach valuable academic skills and encourage critical thinking. We partner alongside  Soccer Shots, Yoga, and Dance class that are offered in the weekly tuition to give your child an opportunity to join in on extra curricular activities, which will help your child learn and grow in every dimension! We are proud to announce that both our Sunshine locations are Texas Rising Star Certified! 

Thanks to the hard work of our Management and Staff, as well as the guidance from our TRS Mentors, we were able to achieve accreditation to provide better care for both our children and their families. Upcoming Events:

We are excited that fall is here! This season our children at SMA will be visiting our local pumpkin patches, trick or treating at our local nursing homes, and learning about seasons and how they change.

Food Program:

In accordance to Advance Inc, we offer healthy meals which include whole grains, fruits, vegetables and milk. Our infant program will offer infant formula, fruits, vegetables and cereal. All classes will enjoy breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. 

Get Involved:

Home and school connection is very important to us here at Sunshine and we have incorporated a variety of fun activities throughout the year for families to enjoy. A few of our fun filled events include; Crafting With Grandparents, Pie with Parents, Christmas Caroling at Nursing Homes, and Kinder Readiness Graduation.

Childcare Subsidy & Discount

All of our locations are accepting the City of San Antonio childcare subsidy program CCS , VA childcare subsidy program, Alamo Colleges Ready to Work Program, and United Way Scholarship Program. We also offer a discount for our Military families, USAA employees, as well as a siblings discount.
 Facility Cleanliness
At Sunshine Montessori, we partner with Dis-In-Fx to help ensure your child's environment is not only clean, but healthy as well. In our everyday cleaning and sanitizing procedures, we follow TX childcare minimum standards 4 step cleaning process , which includes using a hospital grade sanitizer supplied to us by Dis-In-Fx. Additionally once a month a sanitation solution is sprayed throughout the facility, which is guaranteed to kill germs for up to 90 days.
